Welcome to Overstrand

"Where along the coast is there anything more charming than Overstrand with its ruined church, that happy little village between the sea and the hills, the now famous 'Poppy-land', the Othestranda of the Doomsday Book?Annie Berlyn 1894 "Sunrise-Land: Rambles in Eastern England"

Thank you for visiting the Overstrand website.

Overstrand is a thriving village on the North Norfolk coast, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Cromer and Mundesley, with a population of approximately 1000. The beautiful sandy beaches make this village a popular place for family holidays, and the surrounding peaceful countryside offers a wealth of delightful walks, woodland treks and bird watching. The village is steeped in history and boasts many architectural gems.

With a village shop, a post office, a pub, a hotel and a cafe, and in walking distance of Cromer Golf Club, Overstrand is an ideal choice for relaxed holidays and short breaks. Cromer train station (3 miles) gives easy access to Wroxham and the Broads, and to the City of Norwich.
