Amber does it again!
Amber Ratcliffe, Overstrand's brilliant young golfer has successfully defended the English schools' U16 championship at Delamere Forest, Cheshire.
14 year old Amber is the first girl ever to retain the title--and she did it in considerable style, write Lyndsey Hewison in today's North Norfolk News.
As a bonus she cut her handicap to its lowest level yet of 1.8, Amber who is a member of the Royal Cromer golf club and the English Women's Golf Association's Midlands Select Squad, has a remarkable record in schools golf, she has twice won the Norfolk school's title and is the reigning South East of England champion. She will represent England in the two annual school's internationals against Wales and Scotland. This week she will be playing in the English girl's U15 championship at Market Rasen in Lincolnshire. I'm sure the whole of the village wish her the best of luck and will follow her golfing progress with enormous interest.
