Welcome to Overstrand Parish Council’s website
Overstrand is a thriving village on the north Norfolk coast,
in an area of outstanding natural beauty between Cromer and Mundesley,
with a population of approximately 1,000.
The beautiful sandy beaches make this village a popular place for family holidays, and the surrounding peaceful countryside offers a wealth of delightful walks, woodlands treks and bird watching.
The village is steeped in history and boasts many architectural gems, including “The Pleasaunce” former home of Lord and Lady Battersea, Overstrand Hall, former home of Baron and Lady Hillingdon, and the Methodist Church, all designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.
Past visitors to the village, were Winston Churchill and Clementine Churchill, Jessie Boots, founder of Boots the Chemist, the Chivers (Jam) family and Clement Scott, writer for the Daily Telegraph.
